It is with great pleasure we announce the newest addition to the South Australia Portfolio. Located in the Adelaide CBD on 252 Gouger Street.
The new City Centre has an abundance of history with the former occupier being Australia Post, the distribution centre for South Australia for the last 5o years. This location will eventually be a 7-level storage centre, with an underground level for wine storage and gun storage. The first three levels fitted with over 1,000 storage spaces will be ready to rent in December this year.
Next week the new Management Team will be ready to move themselves and their equipment in. The main fit out for the first three levels is near completion.
This Kennards Self Storage centre is an outstanding addition for customers in the Adelaide CBD and its surrounding areas. Storage sizes will range from one cubic metre lockers to mini warehouses, catering to small business. In the basement we will also include climate-controlled wine cellars, and legally compliant firearm storage in secure vault-style rooms. The Centre also boasts features such as meeting rooms and Wi-Fi, a delivery concierge service, 24-hour, 7 day a week access and individually alarmed spaces along with CCTV surveillance. The centre will be of the highest security. A complimentary tea and coffee kitchenette is also available for our customers and music will gently emanate throughout the corridors adding atmosphere and warmth.
The Management Team is being led by Andy Burgess. Andy is an experienced Manager within Kennards and has been with us for nearly three years. He knows the business well and is very excited about the new challenge ahead. Andy will be assisted by Warren Evans who has made the exciting move from NSW to be a part of this great new centre.
Keep a look out for us on Gouger Street. You can see us easily passing along West Terrace. When the fences, gates and last of the signage goes up you will know we will be opening very soon!

Last week, I was visiting my parents’ house (the place I grew up). They are reaching pensioner age, and it dawned on me that their home is becoming too large for them.
