Kennards Self Storage is pleased to announce the opening of our brand new self-storage centre at 98 Gipps Street, Wollongong.

We are an Australian owned family business. After acquiring the property many years ago we have been keen to give new life to the old markets site, complete construction and begin servicing the local community. Construction has been ongoing for the past year. We are proud to advise we officially served our first customers this week.

The Wollongong centre incorporates all of our latest state of the art features into one centre.

You can’t miss the bright orange colour, easily spotted across the road from Bunning’s and just down the hill from the Flinders Street- Gipps Street intersection.

The centre has a wide range features including:

– Ample parking leading straight into the spacious retail area.

– Our brightly-coloured “Size It” room has different size spaces laid out across the walls and floor. Simple for customers to choose the ideal space for their needs.

– We have an incredible wide range of spaces available from convenient lockers right up to large mini-warehouses capable of holding several semi-trailers!

The ease of access to our centre makes it ideal for all customers:

– Simply enter your individual PIN number at the gate. This controls your access into the centre and deactivates the individual alarm on your storage space.

– Security is further enhanced by back to base alarm monitoring, response patrols and CCTV within the centre.

– Our team back that up with daily lock checks and comprehensive weekly audits.

For residential customers their move is made easy through:

– Easily navigating our brightly lit corridors with simple to use trolleys and equipment.

– Economical rates on our upper level spaces that are conveniently accessed by large hoists. And when you need a break…

– Being able to relax with a tea or coffee at our refreshment station.

Business customers benefit through the availability of:

– A WiFi equipped meeting room and innovative “Hot Desks” allowing that busy storage customer to stay connected whilst on the go.

– The centre has under-cover car, boat, caravan and RV spaces and two large parking yards in excess of 1000 square metres each.

– The Wollongong centre has the added convenience with a selection of spaces being raised above ground level with their own loading-dock style access. Perfect for moving those bulky items straight from the ute tray into storage without the need for lifting.

A wide range of Boxes, Packaging and Moving supplies are available at our Box Shop. Customers can choose new boxes at discounted rates. We also buy them back after they have finished. There are often a selection of second hand boxes too.

We strive to make the moving experience easy. We try and find you the space that suits your needs and we have removed unnecessary administration fee’s. When you move out we we refund all unused rent.
